CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON SAC: The action was pretty patchy during a shore competition held at Hordle Cliff where James Pritchett won the event with a solitary small-eyed-ray weighing 3lb 2oz. Andy Rogers was the runner-up with a brace of sole weighing 1lb 1oz followed by Jason Bowditch with a 5oz whiting.

LYMINGTON & DISTRICT SFC: A junior measure & return summer league held along the Milford Shingle bank was dominated by black bream along with the occasional smoothhound, the longest fish was a 64cm smoothhound beached by Craig Moore. Five-year-old Daniel Stote won the event with eight fish worth 174 points followed by Gareth Moore 155, Craig Moore 145, Oliver Hopkins 126, Daniel Harvey 84 and Laura Blomfield 77 points.

A Shingle bank league fixture held along the Milford shingle bank produced a good mixed catch comprising of scad, pout, silver eels, bass, black bream, sole and pollack. Rodney Saunders won the event with 4lb 6.50oz which included the evenings heaviest fish in the shape of a 2lb 8.75oz bass. Others: 2 Andy Hopkins 3lb 11oz, 3 James Orpwood 3lb 5.25oz, 4 Steve Moore 2lb 8oz, 5 Chris Ellis 2lb 2oz, 6 Craig Moore 1lb 13.50oz.

ESSO SAC: A roving shore fixture produced 27 fish with Ted Yeates landing 8 of them weighing 11lb 8oz for a clear victory, included in his bag was a 3lb 8oz ballan wrasse which was the heaviest fish. Others: 2 Steve Hurst 6lb 10oz, 3 Dan Yeates 2lb 10.50oz, 4 Gary Yeates 2lb 9.50oz, 5 Sian Rowland 9.50oz, 6 Erni Cuthbertson 5.75oz.
