A CYCLIST involved in a collision with a motorcycle after travelling the wrong way down a Southampton slip road has died.
Israel De Francisco Barroso, 30, of Northlands Road, was involved in the accident in Freemantle at 1.45am on Friday.
The cyclist, a Spanish national who lived in Southampton, was in collision with a black Kawasaki 1,100cc motorbike on the slip road from Mountbatten Way to Paynes Road at about 1.45am.
The motorcyclist is still in hospital with head and arm injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to call Sgt Chris Sweeney at Lyndhurst police on 0845 045 4545.
