Jonathan Harry, sales and marketing director of south coast print firm RPM Reprographics, is to co-host a workshop in Portsmouth with AWC WordCreate entitled "Self Publishing Your Book".
Other speakers at the event on September 29 will be Barbara Large, director of the Annual Writers' Conference and George Mann, director of George Mann Publications, both well-established professionals in the field of writing and publishing.
RPM is also sponsoring the workshop which has been specially designed to inform authors about the advantages of self publishing. RPM has a thriving self-publishing division and it produces short print run books and journals using the latest digital printing technology.
The workshop is likely to appeal to authors whose subject matter is too specific or too localised to appeal to a mainstream publisher and will cover such areas as identifying readership, making your book reader friendly, printing your book and marketing and selling your book.
