OUTSTANDING Hampshire teenagers Robert Tobin and Katharine Streatfield will be ending the track and field campaign on a high.

After a sizzling summer of personal bests, the pair have had Great Britain call-ups for next Saturday's (August 18) Norwich Union under-20 international against the USA at Stoke-on-Trent.

For 17-year-old 400 metres ace Tobin, it sets the seal on a dream season. Basingstoke's would-be successor to Iwan Thomas has been crowned English Schools and AAA Under-20 champion, made the European Junior Championship final and trimmed his personal best to 47.10 seconds.

Southampton City triple jumper Streatfield, 18, has also had a 2001 to remember with a lifetime best leap of 12.17 metres. She has set Scottish indoor and outdoor under-20 records and, like Tobin, should be at the forefront of selection for next summer's World Junior Championships in Jamaica.

Isle of Wight hammer thrower Andy Frost and Aldershot 3000m man Chris Thompson are named in the Great Britain under-23 team for tomorrow's Norwich Union international against France at Ashford.
