A disc cutter valued at around £500 was stolen from a vehicle which had been parked in Tadfield Road, Romsey, in the early hours of Wednesday.
The thief removed a window from the securely-locked vehicle before taking the valuable tool.
The theft follows a similar incident that occurred the day before in the same road.
On Tuesday, power tools to the value of £1,300 were stolen from a vehicle which had been parked on a driveway.
