A HAMPSHIRE woman who jilted her bridegroom for his brother just two days after their wedding has now gone back to her husband.

Jane Torrance today confirmed she had rekindled her relationship with husband Stuart following the death of her lover, Stuart's brother Campbell.

The couple had been married for only a matter of hours before Jane and Stuart fell for each other at their wedding reception.

After dumping Stuart, Jane set up home with Campbell, who subsequently died in his sleep from an epilepsy-related illness at the age of 34.

In the meantime, Stuart had come to terms with their relationship and moved into the couple's Gosport home as a lodger.

Jane, 31, has now returned to Stuart, to whom she remained married throughout her love affair with his brother.

Today Stuart, 32, said he was delighted with their reconciliation. He added: "Who better than me to raise my late brother's two children?

"It's a great honour - even though he had them both with my wife."

Jane, who was pregnant with Campbell's second child at the time of his death, said: "I was just torn between two wonderful brothers."

Forklift driver Stuart and Jane had been together for eight years and had two children of their own when they tied the knot in 1996. After the register office ceremony, the pair invited 30 guests to a champagne reception at their home.

But, as the bubbly flowed, Jane and her new husband's brother fell for each other and danced until the early hours.

Two days later, Jane told shocked Stuart she wanted a divorce.

Furious Stuart stormed out of the family's home - leaving his new wife to raise their children Michael, now ten, and Courtney, eight.

Within a year, Stuart had forgiven the pair and moved back into the three-bedroom semi.

Campbell and Jane then went on to have a daughter of their own, Chelsea, now four.

Jane was eight months pregnant when she awoke to find her lover had died beside her in bed.

Just week after his funeral she gave birth to his daughter, who she named Campbella in his honour.

Jane said: "Campbella is a lovely name, unique as far as we know. She will always have that to remind her of the dad she never met. I hope she grows up like him."
