PUNK survivors The Clash are honoured in a special tribute show at Bishopstoke next month - and the Daily Echo has tickets to win for the concert.
Combat Rock will be playing at Bishopstoke Memorial Hall on July 7.
A Clash tribute outfit from Scotland, the lookalike and soundalike band dispenses the full range of Clash classics, including hit singles like London Calling, Should I Stay or Should I Go, This is England and Rock the Casbah.
Combat Rock, who consist of singer Mark Hannaway, lead guitarist John Mackie, bassist Dougie Mackie and drummer John Casey, have been touring their tribute show since early 1997.
However, it is only in more recent times that the band have been playing big gigs, following a well-received performance at the National Scooter Rally last year.
The highlight of their career so far has been a chance to perform on the same bill as the Original Stranglers and Stiff Little Fingers in Devon's Rat's Rally.
In recent months, they have recorded an 11-track CD and been confirmed as the support for Stiff Little Fingers at Glasgow Barrowlands.
Further gigs this year are tours to Belgium and Ireland, and festivals in Dumfries and Galloway. Combat Rock are at Bishopstoke Memorial Hall on July 7, with support from JMU, Rat Daddy and Bananafish. Tickets cost £5 and are available from Pinpoint Music on Market Street, Eastleigh.
