OVERSEERS of Hamble School's planned £2.3m health, leisure and sports complex have been granted a cash boost to help ensure that the scheme meets local needs.
An initial grant of £2,500 will be made to the school's community management committee to go towards the cost of liaising with parish councils, and local agencies and organisations.
In return for the Eastleigh borough council cash - which will rise to £5,000 in a full year - the committee will have to provide a quarterly report, updating councillors on what progress has been made.
