LYMINGTON'S Priestlands School has been awarded a certificate of distinction for the work it does outside the normal teaching hours.
After the national education Extra awards for 2001, the school has received a citation which commends its "outstanding scheme of out of school hours learning activities and commitment to the enrichment of the educational experience of young people".
Awards manager Sophie Donovan, wrote: "Your school falls into a special category of schools which have demonstrated an outstanding commitment."
