SAINTS are giving trials to young Portsmouth-based hotshot Bickram Singh.

Singh, who plays club football for Jewson Wessex League outfit Moneyfields, was spotted playing for the Hampshire Schools Under-19 team and has been offered a week's initial trial at The Dell.

Portsmouth College student Singh, who was 18 last week, has notched a hatful goals in the Hampshire Schools & Colleges League this season which has kept his side top of the table, and he has been scoring regularly for Moneyfields.

Saints are just casting an eye over the youngster, who has had spells with Hampshire's other two professional clubs.

"I started at Pompey when I was younger and then I went to Bournemouth when I was 16, but it was at a time when they had financial problems and I got released by them."

"I'm playing for Moneyfields at the moment and scoring some goals, and I've also managed to get myself in the Hampshire Schools team."

"I've just come back from a couple of injuries but I'm looking forward to my time at Saints," said Singh who admits he expects to get stick from his friends a Portsmouth College when they find out.
