DON'T miss a rare opportunity to see Michael Hastings' study of the turbulent marriage of Nobel Laureate TS Eliot and Vivienne Haigh-Wood.
His tender and ironic play, Tom and Viv, will be on stage at the Chesil theatre, Winchester from April 2 to 7.
Director Caroline Helck, says: "I'm sure our audience will be as fascinated as critics and audiences were by the original, controversial production at the Royal Court Theatre in 1984."
The play starred Tom Wilk-inson, Julie Covington and Margaret Tyzack and was later made into a major film with Willem Dafoe and Miranda Richardson.
Was Viv Tom's muse and the love of his life? Why was Tom so attracted to her fossilised Edwardian family? And was madness always waiting just round the corner?
Questions such as these are unravelled as the play traces Tom and Viv's rollercoaster relationship. The action moves from their hasty marriage in 1915 to Viv's death in 1947.
The play begins at 7.45pm. Tickets, priced £7, are available from the Music at Winchester box office on 01962 877977.
For the Monday performance, all tickets are reduced. Alterna-tively, you can become a member by calling 023 8025 5189 and secure tickets at a special discount before they go on public sale.
