HAMPSHIRE children discovered the fun of traditional toys at a craft workshop in Winchester.
They got the chance to make their very own wooden toy at the Winchester Historic Resources centre in Hyde Street. It currently has an exhibition entitled, Childsplay, which displays both old and new toys.
Craft artist Annie Flitcroft, who ran the sessions, said: "We were looking specifically for something highlighting the difference between Pokemon and old-fashioned wooden toys, and to show that the old toys still work and have play value."
Younger children made a pull-along wooden chicken, while older ones put together a wooden puzzle game.
Annie added: "The children absolutely loved it and were thrilled to make something real."
