Hampshire North under-14 A 37, North Bucks 27

NETBALL: THE COUNTY under-14 A side achieved their first win of the season in a match they controlled from start to finish.

Hampshire North took the initiative in the early stages and led 12-6 at the end of the first quarter.

Stand-in goalkeeper and player of the match Katelin Fuller was outstanding, producing a number of tremendous interceptions during the game.

Hattie Brooks, playing out of position in goal defence, also worked hard.

At the other end consistent shooting from Katherine Coutts was enough to secure victory and a positive start to the new year.

Hampshire North under-14 B 36, East Hants 10 A young B side were able to enjoy this contest on the back of some excellent defensive work.

Emma Thurston, Christina Belcher and Hannah Neenan combined well in the forward positions as Hampshire North took a 19-4 lead at half time.

Excellent work in front of their own net from Sarah Crook and Hannah Wright made life difficult for the opposition and even a number of positional changes failed to halt the B side recording a convincing win.
