The Rejects' Canterbury Tales: The Gantry, Friday December 15
Heard the one about the miller, the merchants, two nuns and a monk, three new brides, a shed load of knights, Death, a rooster and a red-hot poker?
You will if you pitch-up at The Gantry next Friday, where Rejects' Revenge are staging their unique version of Canterbury Tales.
This highly visual comic adaptation of one of the world's most popular poetic works tells the story of Geoffrey Chaucer - wit, raconteur and 14th century wide boy. Suffering from a serious, possibly terminal, case of writer's block, Geoff trawls the nation for inspiration, ending up with the above-mentioned motley crew.
Winners of two consecutive firsts at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Rejects' Revenge's Canterbury Tales has been described as "Blackadder for the stage" and "Fawlty Towers meets Theatre de Complicite."
