PROPERTY and business lawyers, Lawcomm Solicitors, have completed the sale of Southampton-based City Online to London technology investment vehicle Ambient for an undisclosed sum.
Managing partner Bill Dhariwal said that "the deal highlights that Lawcomm Solicitors are capable of dealing with good quality corporate work in specialist areas such as technology and the Internet and, in this case, within an extremely tight time frame.''
Lawcomm Solicitors specialise in providing legal services for small to medium sized enterprises.
"Our aim is to provide a quality legal service at reasonable cost. We considered there to be a gap in the market for a specialist business practice for the smaller to medium-sized business as increasingly the established commercial law firms were tending to aspire to and concentrate on larger more profitable clients.
"For instance, in respect of corporate work, wherever possible, we charge clients on a fixed fee base and not on the usual hourly rates, where fees can soon spiral out of control. We also specialise in property, employment and litigation.
Ambient was represented by London flrm Olswang Solicitors.
