A SAILOR from HMS Invincible has been charged with trying to kill his wife.
Barry Riley, 40, of Pound Close, Gosport, appeared at Fareham magistrates' court yesterday charged with attempted murder. The alleged offence took place last Friday.
He was granted bail on the condition that he reside at HMS Drake in Plymouth, report daily to police, not interfere with witnesses and not enter Gosport.
Riley is set to appear at the court again on January 23.
