The second round of the Winter League Series held at Lymington's Highcliffe venue produced a win for Glen Smith with a whiting and a turbot totalling 2lb 15.25oz - the turbot, which was the event's heaviest fish, weighed 2lb 7.75oz.

A junior measure and return Winter League fixture held at Magazine Lane provided some excellent sport, with Rio Woodford putting in a fine performance landing 46 fish worth 913 points. The catch comprised of pout, whiting, bass and rockling.

Ryan Hood was the runner-up with 25 fish worth 484 points, closely followed by Laura Blomfield with 21 fish worth 411 points.

TIGHT LINE SQUIDDERS SAC: Dogfish, bass and pout supplied the action during a shore fixture held along the deep water section at Lepe where Ken Grey came out on top with a 5lb 14oz bag of pout and dogfish.

Tony Swain was the runner-up with 4lb 2.75oz, followed by Paul Chessil, who included a 1lb 14oz dogfish which was the heaviest fish in his 4lb 2oz catch.

ESSO SAC: A shore fixture held at Hythe produced 63 flounders weighing 66lb 4.25oz, the heaviest fished which tipped the scales down to 1lb 11.50oz was caught by Alan Rowland who went on to win the event with 12lb 14oz.

Others: 2 Geoff Wheeler 7lb 9oz, 3 Ted Yates 7lb 5oz, 4 Rod Brinsdon 6lb 3.50oz, 5 Dan Yates 5lb 13.25oz.

ELMORE SAC: A roving shore competition produced a good mixed haul with Martyn Thorne with the event with a 4lb 2.50oz catch of pout and whiting, while the heaviest fish, a 2lb 2.75oz flounder was bagged by Dave Barnes.

Gary Turnball was the runner-up with 2lb 8.75oz followed by Kevin Doogan with 2lb 7oz.
