TWO Rainbow Guiders from the same Chandler's Ford unit have recently received their 30-year service awards.
They were presented to Janet Turner and Wendy Battle by Hampshire West Guide County Commissioner Mrs Karolyn Culverwell.
Janet started her service as a Brownie Guider in South Ruislip, in 1968, and after appointments in Kempshott and Basingstoke, she moved to Chandler's Ford.
She was a Brownie Guider and district commissioner before becoming a leader with the 1st Chandler's Ford West Rainbow Unit.
Wendy began as a Brownie Guider in Southampton. After holding appointments in Sussex and Devon she returned to Chandler's Ford in 1990 to become a Brownie Guider and then a Rainbow Guider and County Rainbow Advisor.
