ELECTRICAL contractor Solent Power Systems has been on the expansion trail with the acquisition of new premises in Southampton.
The company has moved to a larger site in Chapel Road after its former premises in Alma Road were sold by Humberts.
The company supplies power for a variety of prestigious events, including the Southampton Boat Show, balloon and flower festival and Power in the Park.
"Companies are finding it easy to sell their freehold properties but extremely difficult to find suitable properties to buy," said agent Andrew Archibald from Humberts.
"Interest rates still favour purchasing rather than renting which is leading to the shortage."
