A Hampshire firm of solicitors is offering a free will service to boost a cancer charity.
Two-thirds of the UK population have not made a will, which could leave their family and friends a legacy of anxiety and distress.
Solicitors Gurney-Champion & Co in Portsmouth have teamed up with the Cancer Research Camp-aign to tackle the problem.
Those taking part in the free will service can have a standard will drawn up for free with the option of leaving some of their estate to the charity.
Campaigners stressed that although those taking part in the free will service were under no obligation to leave a legacy to the charity, it is hoped they would.
Nicholas Gurney-Champion, a partner in the solicitors' firm, said: "We are delighted to help the Cancer Research Campaign which enables clients to benefit themselves by making a will, and benefiting cancer research."
