A TEENAGER badgered a South-ampton glamour photographer to forge her birth certificate so she could perform as a table dancer.

The heavily-made-up peroxide blonde modelled as a 16-year-old at the Millbrook studios of Paul Pimley, who also provided dancers for a Southampton nightclub.

Pimley, 43, finally succumbed to taking part in the scam when he found himself short of a dancer.

Charles Thomas, prosecuting at Southampton Crown Court, said the document was scanned through a computer at the studio Platinum Models, using the girl's boyfriend's details, and printed out as though she was 18.

Pimley, of Mortimore Way, North Baddesley, was jailed for four months. He pleaded guilty to forgery and also appeared for sentence after being convicted at an earlier hearing of making 16 indecent photographs of children, downloaded from the Internet.

Jackie Levene, in mitigation, said: "She was not a sweet and innocent little angel. She was friends with 18- and 19-year-olds doing what is called glamour modelling. She also wanted to be a table dancer and she nagged him and nagged him and nagged him. For a long time he refused to do anything but only did so when he found himself short of a dancer."

The court was told the forgery and pornography were discovered in a police search of the studios.

"There is no question here of children being corrupted and the pictures being distributed.''

She said Pimley's business had since closed, he was suffering from depression and there was no risk of reoffending.

He was devastated to be wearing the label of sex offender.

Judge David Griffiths told Pimley: "It is important to send out a clear message that anyone tempted to download filth involving the gross exploitation of young girls will receive a prison sentence.''

Pimley, who was of previous good character, was ordered to be placed on the sex offenders' register for seven years.
