SAINTS put on a dazzling performance last night as they unveiled their new corporate hospitality packages to the cream of county commerce.

Many of Hampshire's top businessmen and women joined a 750-strong crowd at a gala evening at the QE2 terminal for a special presentation of the executive packages which will be available at the club's new ground.

With more than a year still to go before they move in at St Mary's, Saints have already sold more than half the 47 executive boxes - with nine going last night alone.

A ten-man executive box in the centre stand will cost around £30,000 a season with those in the corners going for £26,000.

Chairman Rupert Lowe said: "We had a great turn-out. The boxes are going like hot cakes.

"The acid test will be to see how much of last night's interest is firmed up, but indications are excellent. We can build the stadium but it is up to the people of South-ampton to show how much they want it. Our motto is: 'Be a Saint, be part of it'."

Saints manager Glenn Hoddle said: "Our revenues should treble at the new ground, which is going to be good to entice new players at the club.''

Club captain Jason Dodd, whose testimonial will be held later this season, said: "The new stadium is vital for the club.''
