AMATEUR ceramic painters from Southampton came up trumps at a regional competition with their hand-painted ornaments.
Each of the 28 entries from Bear Ceramics shop and studio in Bitterne won a prize at the London Hobby of Ceramics show in Basingstoke.
The colourful collection, finished, glazed and painted by amateurs as young as seven, included a 3ft Indian totem pole and numerous teddy bears.
Delighted Julie England, owner of Bear Ceramics in Bitterne Road, said: "Everybody did really well with every single entry receiving a first, second, third or commended."
Each entrant received a ribbon for their efforts. The studio also received a special award for its outstanding work with children.
