AFTER topping the Southern PGA order of merit for the last two years, Gary Stubbington is setting his sights on number one spot in the Hampshire PGA rankings.

The Dummer club professional advanced his claims with a share of victory in two of the latest Hampshire PGA proams, at Dibden and Tylney Park.

Stubbington and the Lee-on-Solent assistant Shaun Apps shot five-under-par 66s to co-win the New Forest District Council Pro-Am at Dibden with Richard Berry and Marin Kimberley in a two-way tie for third place one shot further back.

Three other players broke 70, with Graham Cowley, Jason Neve and John Hay joint fifth with 68s.

Stubbington had to share the victor's purse at Tylney Park with Kevin Saunders (Barton-on-Sea). Again 66s (four under at Tylney) were the order of the day with Ian Benson taking third place, Ian Warwick fourth and James Ablett and Scott Brown splitting fifth.
