HOW do you get 130 children into a post office for one minute Well, quite easily, actually, as Twyford Primary School pupils at Winchester showed when they decided to give it a try.

The school decided to cram into Twyford Post Office in Hazeley Road and sing a song as part of the NSPCC's Full Stop campaign to end child abuse.

The week has seen school-children from all over Hampshire making sure they are heard as part of the campaign.

With the generous permission of the owners of the shop, Richard Sellars and Simon Cooper, the entire school managed to get in.

Teacher Margaret Letcher said: "I am amazed we all fitted in - it was a tight squeeze. Two policemen came and walked us across the road. It was great fun. Lots of parents also came."

The children sang He has Got the Whole World in his Hands for the time they were in the shop and then gave a cheer.

But the fun event did also get across the very serious message.

Mrs Letcher said: "The children have taken on board the campaign. All the classes have been doing work on it."

Simon Cooper said: "It went very well and all the kids were well behaved."
