Hayley Costick, a 17-year-old from West End studying at Barton Peveril College, has been called up to the England Under-17 netball squad to tour the Cook Islands in July and August.
She collected her first cap in Cardiff last month alongside Weston Park teammate Kelly Oxlade as England won the Fena tournament competing against Wales, Northern Ireland, the Repulic of Ireland and Scotland.
However, the young goal attacker still had to get through trials held in Bedford to earn a place on the tour and having succeeded is now in vigorous training for the event.
