TABLOID queen Jodie Marsh unwittingly sparked a brawl at a Southampton bar - during a visit to promote a national anti-bullying campaign.

A fight broke out at the Bambuu bar after a stripper from the city's For Your Eyes Only club - who was attending a separate function - is alleged to have made abusive comments to Miss Marsh, pictured above arriving at the bar, who was promoting her chosen charity, Beat Bullying.

A 24-year-old man was taken to Southampton General Hospital suffering from minor head injuries following the incident, which took place at about 10.55pm on Sunday. The busty Essex model, who has had a string of celebrity boyfriends including club boss and Celebrity Love Island winner Fran Cosgrove and George Best's son Callum, had just arrived at the bar when it is understood that the stripper hurled abuse at her.

Three men were thrown out of the club after the fracas and the 24-year-old man was taken to hospital. Miss Marsh is not thought to have witnessed the incident.

A spokesman for Miss Marsh said: "What happened was that a member of staff from For Your Eyes Only made some catty comments to Jodie.

"They were asked to leave and trouble kicked off. Jodie was down in Southampton representing her charity. Jodie was not involved in any way. I don't even think she heard the comments. We were doing interviews upstairs when it happened."

A spokesman for Hampshire police confirmed that detectives were called to the bar and were hunting for three men in connection with the incident.

A spokesman for For Your Eyes Only declined to comment.
