WALK: The recent walk on Tadley Common went well, with 15 walkers under the leadership of Rosemary and Jim.

During the walk they saw Dartford warblers, a green woodpecker in a tree full of holes, stone chats, heard chiff-chats and the grazing cows on the common.

They were very lucky with the weather.

STORY telling: At the community centre there is an interactive storytelling for the over-fives on August 4 and 11, at 11.30am, and also on August 25, from 2.30pm.

Lue Jones has been performing interactive costumed storytelling for the past four years at Milestones museum, and she has recently started up on her own as Kalypso.

INDOOR bowls: Would you like to start playing indoor bowls?

The Hurst Bowls Club is a local indoor bowls club and its season runs from July through to April.

It plays in a league of its own, as well as various competitions throughout the season.

The league programme is played on Monday and Friday nights from October.

If you would like to have a go at any time, there are qualified instructors at the club to teach you how to play and they will be glad to see you.

The next training session starts in August.
