BIG Wheel 11: What a day - the sun shone, and there were lots of riders and wonderful entertainment.

Best of all, it was power to the cyclist for just one day.

Well done to St Michael's Hospice for putting it all together.

Also, well done to the riders and helpers, without whom the hospice would have trouble doing the great work it does for the terminally-ill.

WILDLIFE Watch: Run by Hampshire Wildlife Trust, this is a new wildlife club for children.

Its meetings are held monthly, at the Crabtree Plantation on the A30 between Basingstoke and Hatch.

The next meeting is on Saturday, July 30, from 2pm to 4pm, and is for children five years and over, and is entitled "Looking at Butterflies".

During the winter months it will be holding its meetings at the Walled Garden, Down Grange.
