Easton & Martyr Worthy have an opportunity to redress their faltering Southern Electric Premier League, Division 3 promotion challenge when they entertain fourth-placed New Milton at Cockets Mead tomorrow, 1pm.

Back-to-back defeats by Purbrook and Hartley Wintney have dented Easton's challenge, although leaders Purbrook are only eight points ahead.

New Milton, who face the top three clubs in the coming weeks, are without David Wheeler, Nick Gargaro and wicketkeeper Steve Dyer-Smith, but Lee Beck returns.

Purbrook, shaken by last week's defeat by Trojans, face a potentially tricky visit to Bournemouth II, while skipper Simon Williams is nursing a hamstring injury and plans a watching brief for the home game with Hartley Wintney, who have won their last four games.

Paul Douglas, one of the heroes of the dramatic one-wicket win at Purbrook, skippers Trojans.

Trojans: M Mohammed, J Steddon, A Denny, J Donaldson, M Durand, P Douglas, H Mohammad, T Felstead, N le Bas, D Babidge, C Bixley.

Burridge, who are beginning to mount a late challenge, tackle ever-improving Bashley (Rydal) II, with Dan Dowds returning to bolster the top order batting.

The return of Ben Nolan-Stone and John Whiting gives a stronger look to the visitors side.

Burridge: Mepham, Falconer, Brunnschweiler, Dowds, Dixon, Abbott, Cawte, Peries, Creal, Ford, Taylor, Perkins.

Bashley II: G Pardey, J Whiting, C ates, B Nolan-Stone, R Knowles, A Mortimore, N Prince, R Grierson, C Maher, C Nolan, G Bailiff.

It's getting tight at the bottom, with Fair Oak's match against basement side Andover II at Lapstone Park likely to be critical, as is Tichborne Park's "six-pointer" with Paultons, who are without wedding-bound Paul Wilde.

Paultons: J Robinson, P Lamb, T Richman, C James, A Darnton, A Denney, A Collins, C Dunn, M Weaver, G Pike, R O'Brien.
