A CHARITY which provides support to vulnerable families with young children has been given a cash boost by the Co-op.
It has awarded £500 to the Eastleigh branch of Home-Start which will use the cash to help fund activities for children and adults.
Mary Diaper, funding manager of Eastleigh Home-Start, said: "Our thanks go to the Co-op for its kind donation which will help us in our work with many vulnerable and stressed families.
"We aim to offer support and friendship to people during difficult times, relieve isolation, promote the benefits of social networking to parents and provide much needed stimulation for children."
The award comes from the Co-operative Group's Community Dividend fund.
