Hampshire's Rob Collard chalked up his first ever British Touring Car Championship victory at Knockhill in Scotland at the weekend.
Collard, from Hook, driving an MG ZS for the WSR team, took the lead from the start and held off a challenge from championship leader Yvan Muller.
Collard's victory was all the more welcome for his WSR team as it was their first success of the season.
Yvan Muller and Matt Neal were the other winners in the three-race event.
Overall, Team Halfords' Neal outscored Muller 43-29 to stretch his championship lead over the Vauxhall driver to 30 points with six races to go.
The first three of those will take place at the BTCC's penultimate round at Silverstone on Sunday 18 September.
In the BTCC's coveted championship for manufacturers, Vauxhall has increased its lead over SEAT to 135 points. In the championship for teams, Team Halfords has moved 80 points clear of Vauxhall's competition arm VX Racing.
