SOAKING the staff was the most popular event at one nursery's summer fete.
Children from Leapfrog Nursery, Hanmore Road, Chineham, took turns with water pistols to spray staff members Sarah Harrison, Emma Ledger and Danni Duffin, paying 50p for the privilege.
Face painting, a raffle and lots of other stalls and games were set up for the children and their parents to enjoy.
Sarah Harrison, nursery manager, said: "We had a steady flow of people all day and they seemed to enjoy themselves."
Faye Chestnutt, who is only 18 months old, had flowers painted on the side of her face.
Her mum Vicki Chestnutt said: "It was a lovely little fete. There were lots of things for the kids to do."
