HAMPSHIRE'S mental health trust has been recognised as being among the best in the country and awarded a top accolade.
The Hampshire Partnership Trust, which employs around 3,000 staff and provides mental health and disability services across the county, has been awarded Practice Plus status.
Part of the Department of Health's Improving Working Lives initiative, the status means good practices are achieved through staff involvement and partnership work.
Chief executive of the trust, Martin Barkley, said: "This is a wonderful achievement and one that has taken a lot of hard work.
"We value and recognise the work of all our staff and are fully committed to supporting them to ensure a good work-life balance."
