The 2005/6 Russell Cotes Cup final will be a repeat of last year's between Eastleigh and Gosport.
Goals from Dave Town and Zach Glasspool in the 29th and 32nd minutes were enough to send holders Eastleigh through 2-0 at Lymington Town last night.
Meanwhile Gosport, who beat Christchurch after a penalty shootout last week, strengthened their hold on third spot in Wessex 1.
An 88th-minute Neil Scammell goal, set up by reserve team graduate Josh Guise, clinched a 1-0 win over VT FC at Privett Park.
Borough boss Alex Pike was at his daughter's 18th birthday, leaving assistant Mick Buxton in charge.
"Mick tells me Danny Thompson hit the post and Jamie Laidlaw missed a golden chance," Pike said.
l Newport IoW player-boss Steve Leigh could make a welcome return from injury against Basingstoke tonight in the Hampshire Senior Cup semi-final first leg (7.45).
Leigh's thigh injury has healed and he will be needed with Gavin Keough, Wayne Newnham, Chris Bridges and Olamide Dedegbe all cup-tied, Fraser Quirke and Phil Archbold playing an Inter-Services game, Simon Pilcher (leg) injured and Shaun Taylor on England U18 Schools' duty.
