HAMPSHIRE guide dog owner Jeff Bungay is starring on the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association's website to mark the 75th anniversary of the first guide dogs.

Jeff, 42, whose sight started to fail from eye disease in 1998 is featured with his unconventional dog Prince.

The father-of-two, from New Milton, said he rolled about laughing when he first heard the dog was a poodle.

"All the family thought I was pulling their legs, but when I met Prince, I soon fell in love with him and his character. I soon realised what an asset the poodle temperament is in a guide dog," he said.
