Easton & Martyr Worthy all-rounder Steve Green is the new cricket season's first winner of the Southern Electric Premier League's 'Performance of the Week' award.
Green will receive a mounted cricket ball clock from sponsors CricketBits of Salisbury after transforming a desperate 38-6 into a winning situation against Portsmouth II by hitting a magnificent 80.
His knock enabled Easton to recover to - and later defend - 143 against Portsmouth, who were dismissed for 129, Richard Butcher taking 5-33.
CricketBits, a subsidiary of cricket-hockey.com, the Salisbury-based cricket and hockey specialists, will be making weekly performance awards throughout the season.
