IT'S the icing on the wedding cake.
Fresh from the triumph of signing a new three-year deal with Saints and being voted the club's most improved player, defender Chris Baird will have another reason to smile when he ties the knot today.
The Southampton FC star and Northern Ireland international will marry girlfriend Sarah Weeks, who he met three years ago in a Southampton bar.
The couple, who have a 15-month-old daughter Shannon, will say their vows at St James Church in West End in front of 100 guests.
Coincidentally, former Saints star and England player James Beattie is also due to marry his fiancee Sarah Rendle today.
Chris, 24, who made his St Mary's debut in 2003, met Southampton girl Sarah in city bar Jumpin Jaks.
Their daughter, Shannon, was born on New Year's Day 2005.
Of his wedding to Sarah, 24, the star defender said: "I am really happy to be settling down with Sarah, that is the aim of doing it."
