FLY into Hampshire for a brief visit and your business could, quite literally, take off!

That's the pledge from New Forest firm Canotec, which is organising a free three-day event at the Intech science centre near Winchester next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Up to 300 representatives from companies across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and West Sussex are expected to attend.

Intech 2006 will use case studies, guest speakers and keynote addresses to demonstrate how the common headaches of scanning, archiving, printing and copying can be solved with the smart use of technology. The goal is a 'less paper' office that runs quicker, smoother and more cost effectively.

David Newman, Canotec's marketing director, said: "We've staged this event over the last few years and it's become incredibly popular. This, however, is by far the most ambitious and focused.

"Despite all the talk of a 'paperless office' the reality is many businesses are disappearing under a mountain of paper. We'll show how firms can save the trees and boost the bottom line at the same time."

Ringwood-based Canotec, which has 35 staff and a £3.5m turnover, has pioneered and championed environmentally-friendly, business-efficient document systems.

As previously reported, the firm is sponsoring the Red Arrows' display in Bournemouth this summer.
