INSURANCE broker Alexander Forbes is hosting a free seminar in Southampton on emergency planning by local businesses in case of an outbreak of the avian flu virus.
The government estimates that for large organisations staff absence rates could reach up to 15 per cent over the three-week peak of a pandemic, while small businesses should plan for an absence of up to 30 per cent.
