IT comes complete with flashing blue lights and a siren and is due to take part in a highspeed chase.

But the latest police car to take to the streets of Hampshire is a little on the small side and somewhat lacking in horsepower.

Officers in Ringwood have entered the Daily Echo-backed British Pedal Car Grand Prix, which will be held in the town in July.

The one-man vehicle was unveiled at Ringwood School, where students designed and built the bodywork as part of their GCSE exams.
