A MAN who found a burglar in his house then offered an astonishing act of charity he drove him home.
The good Samaritan handed the thief a glass of water before driving him away from his house in a bid to save his neighbours from being targeted. It was only when he returned home that Gary Fooks realised that he had been duped by Liam Morrow, who had stolen much more than he had admitted.
However the kind act was not totally in vain, as police were able to catch Morrow thanks to the DNA he left on the cup he drank out of.
At Southampton Crown Court, Morrow, of Honeysuckle Road, Bassett, admitted two counts of burglary and was jailed for five years.
