A WOMAN who lost her friends on a night out was sexually assaulted as she walked to get some food.
The 24-year-old woman was attacked on a slope next to the Asda supermarket in Southampton city centre in the early hours of this morning.
The attacker, who is described as black, in his mid-20’s and had stubble, grabbed the woman as she made her way down the slope next to the Skandia building sometime between 2.55am and 3.15am.
Detective Inspector Dave Jackson at Bitterne CID, said: “This woman was walking to get some food after a night out with friends when this man approached her and sexually assaulted her.
“He may have followed her before this and we are very keen to find any witnesses who think they may have seen the man either speaking to the women or following her at around the time of the incident in the area around the Civic Centre, Matalan and Asda.”
