OVER 50 canaries, worth a total of £1,500, have been stolen from a Hampshire home.
The birds were stolen overnight on Tuesday, October 5 from the outbuilding of a property in Fir Tree Lane, Horton Heath.
A second outbuilding was also broken into by the thieves, a chain saw and drill were stolen from inside.
PC Kelly Parker said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has information about this burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen property.
“It would not have been easy to escape from the property with these birds and someone may have seen something suspicious.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Kelly Parker at Eastleigh police station on 101. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
