FEARS are growing today for the safety of a missing Hampshire man.
Darren Clark, of Shannon Road in Stubbington, was last seen on Tuesday morning and no-one has heard from him since.
The 41-year-old left the area in a vehicle and his disappearance has been described as “out of character”.
Police think he may have travelled to the West Country, where he has strong links.
Detective Constable Chris Davies said: "It is very out of character for Darren to leave like this without telling anyone and given that more than 24 hours has passed since he was last sighted, we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
"Our enquiries indicate that if Darren has not remained local, he may well have travelled to the West Country where he is believed to have strong links. We would appeal to people from those regions to take a look at the photo we have provided. If you believe you have seen Darren or his vehicle, please get in touch as soon as possible.
"If Darren sees this appeal we would also ask that he get in touch to let us know he is ok."
Darren is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, with a stocky build and short mousey brown hair. He was last seen driving a silver Rover.
