FIREFIGHTERS fought a blaze at a Hampshire home for almost an hour.
Three appliances were called to a property in Compton Road, Winchester.
The fire was under control after about 45 minutes, with three jets, three hoses and six breathing apparatus sets used.
Although the blaze was restricted to the first floor of the three-storey house, there was significant smoke and fire damage.
The fire resulted from an electrical fault in the first floor lighting. There were no injuries as the house was empty at the time on Tuesday at around 11.30am.
Winchester Fire Station sent two appliances with a third called out from Eastleigh. A total of 15 firefighters attended.
