TEACHERS and students took on a charity walk to raise cash in memory of a Hampshire soldier.
The group set off on a 14-mile trek in aid of the fund set up after Royal Marine Richard Hollington was killed in action.
The 23-year-old, a former footballer with Fareham Town, became the 300th British serviceman to die as a result of the conflict in Afghanistan after he was injured in a roadside bomb in June.
Walkers from South Downs College took on a route from Thorney Island to the Royal Marines Museum in Portsmouth in a bid to raise up to £1,000 in memory of Richard, who lived in Petersfield.
