A SKIER from the Isle of Wight has been killed after plunging more than 300ft down an icy ravine after a night out with pals.
James Rolfe, 27, died after falling down a notorious gorge at Les Deux Alpes, France.
Local police believe the skier, from Newport, took a wrong turn on his way home. He had been working in the area.
