Students in Southampton have hit the big screen with the premiere of a documentary about their work.
Solent University offered those on the Popular Music Performance course the chance to get their compositions recorded at the world-famous Abbey Road studios by the London Metropolitan Orchestra.
Pieces written by students Hannah Hurst, Erika Aleksaite and Sander de Vries were chosen and the group spent a number of days at the studio working on the production.
Miss Hurst, 20, said: “In all honesty it was the best few days of my entire life. It’s inspired us so much to keep working.”
A film following their progress called The Abbey Road Challenge was premiered at Southampton’s Harbour Lights Cinema for family and friends.
