A MAN is in hospital today with serious injuries after an incident near a Southampton school.
Last night officers were called to Quayside Road in Bitterne, where they found the man suffering from a number of injuries.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
The area, opposite Bitterne Manor Primary School, was immediately taped off and police were still guarding the cordon this morning.
Police have not revealed what the man's injuries are or how he sustained them.
They are appealing for any witnesses who saw what happened just after 9pm to contact Detective Constable Howard Broadribb at Bitterne CID on 101.
